This was the first meeting of the year. The meeting was held at the Preiss Headquarters Building, 1700 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC. Members in attendance were John Ginsenger, Daryl Johnson, Toby Terrell, Gary Moore, John Harper and Amber Stotesbury. Joe Woo, the property manager for the Preiss Company called the meeting to order at 6 PM.
The first order of business was to elect officers. Gary Moore was selected as the President, Daryl Johnson will be the secretary/Vice President and Amber Stotesbury was elected treasurer.
It was decided to have quarterly meetings at 6 PM on Wednesday nights. Some meetings will be at the property and some will be at the Preiss Building.
Business Items. Joe will investigate the cost of replacing the University Woods sign on the property and make a recommendation to the Board. A car accident destroyed the current sign (see photos on the next page). Initial inquiries indicate a new sign will cost around $800.
A quote for power washing the buildings was reviewed. The cost per building would be $300 (there are 18 buildings). Joe will investigate to see if we can get a lower price.
Joe was requested to get a quote from an engineering firm to evaluate the foundation problem with the 2002 Technology Woods Drive building. It had some settling problems in the past. The question was whether the ground had now stabilized or was still settling.
Joe plans to do a property walk on July 31 to identify issues that need attention.
